Who we are

Our leadership team combines more than four decades of experience across recruitment and operational delivery. That gives Fortress a different perspective from contractors focused solely on the physical completion of individual jobs.
We understand the pressure placed on organisations responsible for property programmes: strict deadlines, service standards, key performance indicators, changing workloads, labour availability, quality control and the need to maintain confidence among residents, clients and stakeholders.
Our role is to remove as much of that pressure as possible by providing capable teams, practical management and clear accountability from mobilisation through to completion.
More than a supply of trades
Building the right team is different from filling a vacancy.
Finding available operatives is not the same as assembling an effective project team. Our recruitment background helps us identify the people a programme genuinely needs, assess suitability and build resources around the work rather than simply placing whoever happens to be available.
Our operational experience then allows us to coordinate those teams effectively, monitor delivery and respond when requirements change. This combination supports established programmes, new contract mobilisation and projects requiring additional skilled capacity in another location.

Fortress combines experienced operational leadership with an established network of skilled trades and specialist partners. Depending on the scope, our delivery teams can include multi-trade operatives, electricians, decorators, plasterers, joiners and other appropriately skilled professionals.
We do not rely on one rigid labour model. Teams are structured around the work, enabling the right balance of capability, capacity and geographical coverage.

Geographical flexibility

Our strongest operating regions are the East Midlands, South Yorkshire and East Anglia, with additional coverage extending through Yorkshire and into the North East. Where a programme requires broader reach, our long-standing trade and recruitment relationships allow us to assess suitable mobilisation in other areas.
